Images on slate are individual presents suitable for many occasions. We are able to transfer your digital images or use any print supplied. Editing facilities are available in-house. Uses include: portraits, group scenes, landscapes, certificates, awards, business cards, menus and much more. Any specific work created for you can also be supplied in digital form for further use.
Production of your finished image on slate will take approx. 7 days. Individual sizes can be supplied upon request, please contact us for advise. We can supply stone or wood bases on which the pictures can be displayed as well as accessories such as wall-hangers, thermometers and clocks.
The product is guaranteed to be stable and unaffected by light and UV rays. Our special coating for outdoor use ensures that there is no limitation of usage. Images on slate will adorn any shelf or desk and attract attention for many years to come.
What is Slate?
Slate is a fine-grained, homogeneous, metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through low grade regional metamorphism. The result is a foliated rock in which the foliation may not correspond to the original sedimentary layering. Today our quality German slate is precision-cut by diamond blades to a thickness of 5 mm and finished by hand.
